Psychotic Disorders; What you need to know

There is a common saying that we are all aware of; health is wealth. A sound and healthy body take a person's place, but when the body is not healthy, a person is just as helpless and useless as it can be. Taking care of your health is just as important as carrying out other daily tasks.
People are mostly concerned about their physical health, like their blood pressure irregularity, sugar levels, stomach aches, headaches etc., but they never are concerned about their mental health. Mental health is just as important as physical health. There is a dire need to understand that a healthy mind runs the body and keeps it sane. It is essential for the mind to be in the right place. But what is that condition where the mind is not working properly, and the person loses track? Psychotic disorders it is.
What Are Psychotic Disorders?
Psychotic disorders occur when the human mind stops functioning in a natural way, its way of responding to natural events changes, it either becomes too aggressive or too emotional or too happy. When the responses and thoughts become unnatural, the mind loses its capacity to think right. Delusions and hallucinations are the most common signs when a person is going through a psychotic disorder.
The person becomes more negative and thinks that everybody is against them. They push people away, and they think that even their closest friends are plotting against them. A person going through a psychotic disorder cannot think properly, their judgments are clouded, and they cannot figure the right emotion out for any situation. People with psychotic disorders find it hard to stay in touch with reality. They exceed the sanity levels and are hard to understand. There are types of psychotic disorders, and luckily, some of them are treatable.
Types of Psychotic Disorders
Schizophrenia is the most common Psychotic Disorder in young to old people. They get rapid changes in their behavior because of delusions and hallucinations. They are affected emotionally enough to develop this disorder. It could be either work, friends, or relationship trauma. It lasts longer than 6 months.
Schizophrenia Disorder is a condition where people have schizophrenia along with developing a mood disorder that is either depressed or sad. It can also be said as a bipolar disease where a person shifts to different moods rapidly.
Schizophreniform Disorder is a condition where the person develops schizophrenic symptoms like delusions, depression, and hallucinations but for a short period of time, say 1 to 6 months.
Brief Psychotic Disorder occurs for a short period of time when a traumatic event such as the death of a close relative causes someone to stop talking for a week, or they turn cold and cannot cry, etc. It doesn't last long, but the person going through it needs time and attention to heal.
Conclusion
Psychotic disorders are real, and they can affect a person severely if they are not treated well. You should always be vigilant around your closed ones. You never know what they could be going through. Take care of your and your loved ones' mental health.
