December is the last chapter of a beautiful book, and it for sure deserves a beautiful ending. Unlike January which is considered the Monday of the year, December is our cozy Saturday night where we’re getting comfortable and enjoying the moment. Here are five steps to a stress-free December:

1. Write About All Good Things By the end of the year, you need to take all the positivity with you to the next year and leave all the negativity behind. One helpful way to do that is to write about good things that you experienced around the year. It will help you hold on to the good memories, which will help you in challenging times. It will give you the courage to continue and keep up with life. Also, it allows you to practice gratitude. Make it a habit and continue writing things you are grateful for regularly.

2. Learn Saying No

It is hard saying "No" in the times we live in. From office work to friends' weekend parties, we feel the constant need to please everyone to stay on their good books. This thing is extremely unhealthy and it has no place in the dictionary of mental health. December should be the month where you prioritize the holidays given to you and say “no” to unnecessary work that is expected of you.

3. Manage Time Mindfully You need to make sure to manage your time in a more mindful manner – that means making the most out of the relaxing time given to you while you are free. So, instead of scrolling on Instagram all day, try catching up with a hobby you left far ago. You might just do nothing and try focusing on how you really feel in the moment. It will be helpful for you in understanding your emotional, mental, and physical needs.

4. Pay Extra Attention to Yourself You really need to pay extra attention to yourself when the year is ending as a form of self-care. Without self-care and self-love, you will not be able to create a better human out of yourself because, in the end, this is what matters. Without your healthiest form, you will not be able to maximize your productivity, which will be a downward spiral. So, December makes the perfect time to truly invest in yourself and prepare yourself for a fresh start to the year.


5. Spend Time with Family and Friends Friends and family should be the center of every human because, without them, the purpose of life fades away. We can be highly successful in our careers but if we don’t have the ones who celebrate our victories then the successes we have don’t matter at all. Spending time with friends and family is what should matter at the end of the year, so you leave the year with a beautiful, stress-free ending.

These are some amazing yet simple ways to get charged for the next year and leave all stress behind because we all deserve happy endings we can cherish.
